the goddess of the iris garden

can you see her? she’s looking out the window of her beautiful purple and orange house at the gorgeous purple iris and daring the hungry snail to take a bite! Yup, my imagination went to another level…and soo much fun to make.

the fabrics are leftover bits of cottons and batiks…the suggestion was to make a small quilt while thinking of flowers…again the same class from Yvonne Porcella. Did i tell you that mrs. Procella was instrumental in the formation of SAQA(studio art quilt association)?

anyway this little quilt is probably one of my favorites. and the process of preparing the fabrics is simple thus allowing one to concentrate on the design elements and finishings.

so until next time,

i am wishing you all a merry christmas and happy holidays!

and, remember,

fiber art, fiber fun, fiber feel…create!!
